MOD SUN - No Girlfriend

"No Girlfriend"

probably one of his most known/loved songs,
this one is pretty self-explanatory: Mod Sun refuses to have a girlfriend until he makes a million, and instead is focusing on good times and his music.

this song has three different versions on three different albums.
I decided to post the one off “The Hippy Hop EP”

Movement On Dreams, Stand Under None—everything rapper Mod Sun stands for, can be applied to this acronym;
starting out his music career as a drummer, Dylan/Derek Smith later decided he wanted to do more than just sit behind a drumset, and decided to put his rhyming skills to use and started creating his own music under the name MOD SUN.
everything Mod Sun stands for is positive. he prides himself in never being negative, and his constant great mood leads to upbeat songs that make listeners get into a good mood also. his lyrics vary anywhere from Summer anthems about just having fun and smoking weed with friends to how he managed to get to where he is today, and even some inspirational songs that lets kids know it’s alright to take risks and chase after your dreams like he did.
and on top of his fun hippy hop music that he makes, Mod Sun is also a very hands-on artist; everything is done by himself/his crew. from social networking accounts to tour planning to album releases, Mod Sun & Co do it all without a label and are doing it well. and this adds an extra bond with his fans, to the point where Mod Sun boasts that he “has no fans, just a friendbase”
catch Mod Sun on the Scream It Like You Mean It Tour later this Summer!

Austin Gibbs - I Like The Ones

"I Like The Ones"

found first on Gibbs’ “1986” EP, and then now revamped for the new record “Charlie”, this song is another one of his more cheeky ones. with lyrics stating things like “the type of girl keep you up all night, type of body make your jeans get tight”, you can get a sense of the sauciness found in both the song and Gibbs’ personality.
on top of the fun lyrics, this song is very upbeat and catchy, bound to get stuck in your head.

"Cut Me Off"

the opening track off Gibbs’ self-titled EP, this is probably one of my personal favourites.
this is a simple, catchy song, with a bridge that leads to gang vocals towards the end of it.

"Wolf Mountain"

an older song re-vamped for the new record,
this is definitely another song that makes you want to drive around with your friends and just have a good time.
